How long after ordering will tracking information be available?

Tracking information typically becomes available 24-48 hours after your order has been shipped. Processing time is usually 1-2 business days after payment confirmation, then shipping takes another 1-2 days before tracking is activated. You will receive an email with tracking details once they become available.

What does "In Transit" mean?

"In Transit" means your package is traveling between locations on its way to the destination. This status can include:

  • Package has left our facility
  • Package is at a carrier sorting facility
  • Package is on a vehicle for delivery
  • Package is traveling between countries (for international orders)

During this stage, the package is moving but hasn't reached its final destination yet.

My tracking hasn't updated in several days, what should I do?

If your tracking hasn't updated for more than 3-5 business days:

  1. Check the carrier's website directly (sometimes their systems have more detailed updates)
  2. Wait 24 hours - sometimes updates are delayed in carrier systems
  3. If still no update after 5 business days, contact us with your order number
  4. We will investigate with the carrier and provide updates

Note: International shipments may have longer gaps between updates during customs clearance.

Can I change the shipping address after my order has shipped?

Once an order has shipped, address changes are very difficult and may not be possible. If you need to change the shipping address:

  • Before shipping: Contact us immediately - we may be able to update the address
  • After shipping: Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number
  • Carrier limitations: Some carriers charge fees for address changes
  • International orders: Address changes are usually not possible after customs processing begins

What happens if my package is lost or damaged?

In the rare event that your package is lost or damaged:

  1. Contact us immediately at sales@dutchcitysale.net with your order number
  2. Provide details about the issue (lost tracking, damaged package, etc.)
  3. For damaged packages, take photos of the packaging and contents
  4. We will initiate an investigation with the carrier
  5. If confirmed lost/damaged, we will reship your order or provide a refund

Express shipping includes insurance coverage. Standard shipping insurance is available as an optional add-on during checkout.

Why is my package delayed at customs?

Customs delays are common for international shipments and can occur for several reasons:

  • Documentation review: Customs officials reviewing paperwork

  • High volume: Peak shipping seasons cause backlogs
